Coffee shops hold a sweet spot in my heart.
This includes Starbucks and Dunkin’, you’re invited to the party.
The concept of “third spaces” is something I learned within the last two years, and I’ve always felt that coffee shops have resonated as my third space, no matter where I go.
I love getting to sit and work in my own little zone and people-watching other individuals doing the exact same thing. Well not everyone; there are friend dates, first dates, business meetings, quiet times, and anything else in between.
It’s just people existing and I think that’s so cool.
Also, I feel 10x more productive when I work at a coffee shop. I blame it on the “main character syndrome” I subconsciously adopt. Same with being in the airport! If you get it, you know what I mean. I just also love to romanticize my life, just because I can!
For example: a mushy excerpt from a personal journal a few weeks ago about coffee shops.
“I truly think sitting in coffee shops makes me thrive.
It’s the ambiance of clanking cups, undistinguished chatter, seeing strange faces find familiar ones.
Grinders singing, Music blaring. Keys tapping. There is a beautiful symphony that is unpracticed but rings so harmoniously.
Maybe I’m romanticizing it, I don’t care. It’s my favorite place to be!”
Overall, it’s really hard for me not to have a good time in a coffee shop.
That’s it for now! I could probably go on and on, but you get the gist.
With Love,
Cara
