the teezo diaires: an introduction
I might regret this title later, but don't think about it too hard.
This idea spawned from sitting alone with God.
I was in between reading between pages and just being present in the moment, admiring God’s goodness and reflecting on the joy, peace, and gratitude I’ve received from just following Him.
When a not-very-profound but still alleviating thought entered my brain.
God is the God of the big and miraculous,
and God is the God of the everyday mundane.
And that’s where I find myself nowadays; in the in-between of mundane and miraculous.
So, why can’t my writing reflect that?
To be transparent, I haven’t been writing as often because I don’t feel I have enough to fill up an entire post. So why should I write an entire post, when I can write just mini diaries?
Like a mini-series, maybe?
Just a small tidbit entry of either an interesting food thought, a familial memory, or a weird dish I tried this week. Who knows! Who cares!
This brings me to the word “Teezo”.
The word “teez” in Arabic translates to butt.
BUT. This word has a multitude of uses and contexts inside my family.
Tee-zo definitions
noun
backside, behind, bottom.
He fell and landed straight on his teezo.
a person one feels a deep love for; precious, darling
“Love you, Teezo! See you later.”
an exclamation, specifically when referencing things that are deemed as cute, small, or dear
“Ugh, TEEZO!! Look how cute she is!”
People can be teezo, tiny objects can be teezo; the world is your teezo oyster.
In short, the teezo diaries will be short-ish entries with no major structure. Just food thoughts or moments that come to mind or pop up in the week.
I’m excited to be able to share more content in the future in more bite-size pieces! Please tell me you got the joke…
With Love,
Cara
Love you Teezo!!!!!
